Teflpedia is a wiki site dedicated to everything associated with 'Teaching English as a Foreign Language' (TEFL),[1] or 'Teaching English as a Second Language' (TESL).[2] Teflpedia was originally created in 2006 by Bob Mudford[3] (aka Bob M), an English language teacher and British expatriate from Wales living and working in Spain; although the wiki was officially launched and opened in May 2008. Teflpedia is an editable open educational resource for TEFL teachers, students, and all those interested in aspects of language teaching.
Teachers are encouraged to sign up and:
- Edit the wiki
- Use the wiki to showcase their teaching skills
- Obtain new ideas and links to resources.
One of its most popular features is the conversation questions to use in class section, while its most popular article is Copyright in English language teaching. Teflpedia was originally funded by way of voluntary donations, but is now funded by way of on-screen advertising from both GoogleAds and azoic.
