- Purpose
This particular housekeeping template, copied from the English Wikipedia (En.Wp) wiki, or other Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) wiki, is used to create a shortcut to the documentation sub-page for its specific template. It is copied (from En.Wp) in accordance with their Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 unported license (CC-BY-SA 3.0); the same license as used by many (though not all) other Wikimedia Foundation wikis; and importantly here also on WikiIndex. Note that under a specific term of the CC-BY-SA-3.0 license, attribution must be given when copying and re-using such licensed material. The optimal method is by declaring attribution, along with an interwiki link to the originating article, in the edit summary here on WikiIndex, as shown in this example.
