The site would never answer email no matter what

8/23/06 all of elwiki is down.

A month and a half ago I tried to contact them asking about wikis. No email answer. I signed up because they had the best deal -- shortest name and mediawiki. They also appear not to have a space limit.

No one who runs the site has answered email after months and about 200 emails later.

nico @[part of it removed].com.ar = the return email address I got from registration. Upon emailing them, they claim that they only opened a test wiki on elwiki and have no idea on anything.

[email protected] = the email address on their website. It never answers email, ever.

[email protected] = the only whois contact of their site. It never answers email, ever.

Elwiki.com may be run by the person who blogs at zone-mr.net . Both sites hide any way to contact them behind godaddy.com and then again through domainsbyproxy.net .

[email protected] and [email protected] = the two email addresses of zone-mr.net. They never answer email, either.

I have also left a comment on the blog zone-mr.net. A day later, the site went down for 2-3 days in response (suspicious coincidence) and when it came back up my comment vanished. So I left about 5 comments this time. Now my old comment has reappeared and maybe I didn't see it--I don't know.

You are wrong. That backup is about https://el.Wikipedia.org (Greek Wikipedia). Wikimedia Foundation does not host any backups of wikifarms. emijrp 02:09, 8 April 2011 (PDT)

ElWiki down

So, it looks like Elwiki is dead forever ? I downloaded a 200 MB XML-file with an article-backup from somewhere, but I don't know, what to do with it. Maybe the answer to this would be interesting for several people. (Hello Kuwait !) --84.56.0.8 07:36, 15 December 2007 (EST) (Robert, Munich)

elwiki came back and was up with an apology at the top of their site for the down-time until 6/3/2008.. now it looks like www.ElWiki.com is owned by somebody else, so I'm guessing they're really gone now.

ElWiki site dead

Just incase anybody tries looking through the internet for this fucking website, all I can offer you is that you try looking at Archive.org. There is a feature where all pages archive under a domain are shown, you can try that.
