Category: Miraheze — this category here on WikiIndex contains wiki sites that are (or were) hosted by Miraheze Limited,^[1] a wiki company (officially incorporated 20 November 2019) from Worksop, England in the United Kingdom,^[1] which provides a MediaWiki wiki farm.

Overview

Miraheze, founded in 2015 and located at Miraheze.org, is a free MediaWiki wiki farm, originally built on the now-defunct Orain wiki farm.

Miraheze commits to:

be free of charge;
have no advertising;
be 100% open source (code);
run the most recent version of MediaWiki, offering a competitive collection of optional extensions, including Semantic MediaWiki;
offer possibility for custom domains;
connect via HTTPS (SSL connection) for all wiki sites;
a friendly volunteer community support, open to requests;
supplying the possibility to have VisualEditor and Flow.

Miraheze does not allow wiki founders to fully manage their wiki sites (via the 'Special:ManageWiki' function); tools such as Check user and Oversight are only used by Miraheze Stewards (staff), as they reveal personal information. Any potential extension at Miraheze may be requested (Miraheze occasionally have a Community Wishlist Survey), but it will require a security review before being installed. Miraheze Stewards only intervene in local communities at the request of the community, or if there is vandalism on the wiki.
