Miraheze is one of the other wiki farms happy to host Wikia refugees.

Category: Ex-Wikia — this specific category here on WikiIndex contains wiki sites, groups, and people that were once a part of the behemoth that is the commercial for-profit Wikia wiki farm (now branded as Fandom); but have since left, for a variety of reasons. They currently include some members of the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance (NIWA), and the Square Enix Independent Wiki Alliance (SEIWA), along with those wiki sites which are now hosted independently by ShoutWiki, Miraheze or Grifkuba, and / or the commercial Curse, Inc.-owned Gamepedia.com (the latter of which has now been purchased by Wikia, Inc., and subsumed into their Fandom brand).

Any original Wikia / Fandom wiki sites which remain behind on Wikia / Fandom after the move or 'fork' (known as a spoon), along with any which have been dormant for more than say two years, also need to be categorised into category: Goal abandoned. If a wiki site, or group of wikis (such as the Uncyclopedia family) has been forced off Wikia due to censorship, update the listing to point to their new host home, and add them to the appropriate sub-category.
