Jesus-Wiki was a Christian encyclopedia, in which all articles are written from a Christian point of view. The Core Beliefs of Jesus-Wiki stress that Jesus Christ, the son of God, is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through Him.

Jesus-Wiki was available in English, Finnish, French, German, and in Spanish. Additionally, Jesus-Wiki Media contains pictures, soundbytes, and other medium-sized files for usage. On 10 December 2006, a Christian Meta Wiki for Jesus-Wiki was also created, but was closed May 2007 due to lack of support.

The idea behind Jesus-Wiki

Jesus-Wiki exists to provide information about the Bible and Christianity for not only Christians, but for Bible Critics, those interested in Christianity, and nonchristians alike. Our goal is to provide as much information about these topics as possible, in as many languages as possible. Along the the search functions known to wikis, specialized Portals on certain topics and the categorization of articles will make finding information even easier. For those unfamilliar with Christianity, portals for nonchristians will serve as starting points with an understandable introduction to the Christian faith and world view.

Everyone is welcome to work on the Jesus-Wiki. It is an excellent way to share your knowledge and faith without having to run your own website. With enough help, a large spectrum of topics can be achieved. Since Jesus-Wiki stands under the GNU Free Documentation License, it is permissible to use the content of the Jesus-Wiki according to the regulations of the GFDL.

Who can contribute?

Everyone is welcome to add content to the Jesus-Wiki. However, it must be noted that all content must be in accordance with the Core Beliefs of Jesus-Wiki. Bible critics are welcome to share their ideas, but they must at least 'neutrally' and lovingly express their opinions. All contributions that do not line up Biblically, will be modified or deleted completely. Please refer to the Article Guidelines.

The history of Jesus-Wiki

The very fist experimental German Jesus-Wiki was running on TikiWiki by fall 2005. No data was taken over to the new English and German language versions installed on May 13, 2006, powered by MediaWiki. On September 30, 2006 the Finnish Jesus-Wiki was installed, and since October 18, 2006 there also are a French and a Spanish version of Jesus-Wiki.

The future of Jesus-Wiki

It is our prayer that God will continue to be the driving force behind the development of the Jesus-Wiki. The development of this wiki is in His hands, and we pray that it will become a tool that can be used for His works.

God Bless You!
