RxWiki.com, is an online medication encyclopedia for consumers, written and edited by pharmacists. RxWiki.com publishes information on pharmaceutical and over-the-counter medications and nutritional supplements. As a community network, RxWiki.com helps educate patients, and enables pharmacists to collaborate in the advancement of Medication Therapy Management (MTM).

RxWiki.com's publishing model is designed to allow pharmacists to contribute information about medications more rapidly than other methodologies, providing consumers with the most up-to-date information available on the Internet. The RxWiki.com authentication process ensures that all contributors are licensed professional pharmacists.

RxWiki.com was launched in August 2007 by The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations (NASPA), in collaboration with Mirixa Corporation.

In addition to the drug monograph and medical/health reference information, RxWiki.com offers:

  • an "Ask the Pharmacist" column for consumer questions
  • daily articles from leading medical news services
  • information on current clinical trials
  • weekly newsletters personalized for subscribing consumers and contributing pharmacists.
